Tie Guanyin is named after the Chinese Goddess of Mercy Guanyin. Legend has it that Guanyin gifted this tea to a humble farmer after he repaired her temple. The production of Tie Guanyin is varied and complex and yields a vegetal, fruity flavor that makes this tea one of the most highy demanded teas in the world.

BREWING GUIDELINES

  • Tea

    3 grams for every 6-8 oz of water (1.5 tsp per mug)

  • Temperature

    195 F (boil water, let cool for 5 min)

  • Time

    Let steep for 3-4 min
