There are several unverified stories about how this popular tea came to be. Our favorite tale involves "Charles Grey, The Second Earl Grey" and his Chinese mandarin friend. Charged with the task of offsetting the taste of lime in the local well water, Mr. Grey's friend added the citrusy flavor of the bergamot fruit to black tea leaves and changed the world of tea forever.

BREWING GUIDELINES

Tea
3 grams for every 6-8 oz of water (2 tsp per mug)
Temperature
209 F (boil water, let cool for 1 min)

WORD FROM OUR FOUNDERS

We tried a lot of Earl Greys before deciding on this one. The tea was grown and blended in India and the Bergamot oil came from Italy. Any lover of Earl Grey would feel at home drinking this tea.
